About Us

Family Orthotics and Prosthetics is a BOC accredited facility located in Kearney, Nebraska. Our staff are dedicated to providing superior and affordable care that will help improve our patient's quality of life and let them maintain an active lifestyle. We are the only Veteran-owned O&P clinic in Nebraska and pride ourselves on treating all our patients with dignity, always striving to serve them as family.

Ken Vyvlecka BOCPO, CO

President and Founder of Family Orthotics and Prosthetics

Although Ken is a California native, his 38 years in Nebraska have truly made him a midwest man. He joined the Air Force right out of high school, married his childhood sweetheart, and together they were transferred to Offutt AFB. After his military service, Ken’s career in orthotics and prosthetics began at UNMC in pediatrics. Two years later he took the position of clinical manager of NovaCare in Kearney, before co-founding Family O&P in 2000. He enjoys working on home projects, yearly hiking trips to Colorado, time on the beach, and being with his beautiful wife of 39 years. Ken and Beth have 9 daughters, 2 sons, and as of this update 32 grandchildren.
